Virtual Tours
Come and explore the highest mountains of each European nation in virtual reality tours. You will find significant diversity in both terrain and vegetation, or lack of it in some cases. At some nation's highpoints, for example Luxemburg, there are very few contours to cross, but this isn’t so for those peaks of the alpine, Iberian, and Balkan nations.
If I had to pick a favourite mountain, that might depend upon my mood. Triglav in Slovenia has a beautiful final ridge, and can be quiet except around the mountain huts. A trek to Maglić in Bosnia & Herzegovina is can be a lesson in solitude, the paths narrower and less trodden. But they are all worth a trip.
